Why choose a private driver for your Versailles Palace tour?
There are several ways to reach Versailles from Paris — the RER C train is the cheapest, but it requires navigating Paris stations with luggage, a 40-minute train journey and a 10-minute walk from the station. A private driver changes the experience entirely: door to palace gates, zero connections, zero stress.
It is especially worthwhile if you are travelling with children, have a tight schedule, or want to combine your Versailles visit with another destination (Disneyland Paris, CDG Airport or Paris hotels). With a round-trip private transfer, you also avoid the return train entirely — leaving Versailles exactly when you choose, with no rush.
Dropped directly at the main entrance — Place d’Armes. Walk straight to the ticket area.
Leave when you want. With round-trip, your driver returns at the time you choose.
Free baby seat, large boot, no crowded carriages. The most relaxed way to travel with children.

Suggested itineraries — half-day & full-day
Whether you have 4 hours or a full day, here are two proven itineraries for your Versailles visit.
Option A — Half-day highlights (4–5 hours)
The Hall of Mirrors, King’s State Apartments, Queen’s Bedchamber. Book timed-entry tickets in advance to skip the queue.
A short stroll through the formal gardens for photos. The main fountain axis is spectacular even in 30 minutes.
Your driver collects you at the agreed time — no train to catch, no rush.
Option B — Full-day complete visit (6–8 hours)
Arrive early (09:00 opening) for the quietest experience. The first two hours have significantly fewer visitors.
800 hectares of formal French gardens with fountains, statues and the famous Grand Canal. Take your time — this is where Versailles truly breathes.
Grand Trianon, Petit Trianon and the Queen’s Hamlet. A quieter, more intimate side of Versailles that most day-trippers miss.
Your driver collects you at the time you choose — back to Paris, to your Disney hotel, or directly to CDG or Orly airport.
9 stress-free tips for your Versailles visit
Arrive early. The palace opens at 09:00. The first two hours are always quieter.
Book tickets in advance. Choose timed-entry tickets on the official website to skip the entry queue.
Wear comfortable shoes. Versailles involves a lot of walking — even the palace interiors are vast.
Plan your must-sees. Decide in advance: Palace only, Gardens only, or full experience with Trianon?
Bring water and snacks. Catering inside is available but expensive. Especially important with children.
Allow time for security. Entry queues at peak times can add 20–30 minutes even with pre-booked tickets.
Bring a portable charger. You will take hundreds of photos. Battery runs out fast.
Versailles is closed on Mondays. Plan your visit for Tuesday to Sunday.
Choose weekdays if possible. Weekdays are significantly less crowded than weekends and French school holiday periods.
